Victims & Villains
Many times, things don’t go as you wish they would. It is harder. It takes more resources. It takes longer (than what?). Stuff hits the fan.
And often, when other people are involved in things that are not going as you wished, the easiest thing to do is tell yourself a story where you put at least part of the blame on them.
They are the villain. The bad guy/girl. They are just plain stupid. Or they are blunt, up to no good, want to take advantage of you, selfish, or whatever other terrible personality trait you wish to see in them.
You, on the other hand, are the victim. You were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Nothing you could do about it. Pure bad luck.
But what if those other people are sound-thinking, well-intending, educated humans?
What if you are not noticing your contribution in this scenario?
