Pro actively lazy
In ancient Christian teachings, laziness or sloth was one of the seven sins. But harness it from a different perspective, and laziness can be a great character trait.
Being pro-actively lazy could mean you apply a habit or system that, over time, saves you precious effort—mental effort, emotional effort, physical effort, or even having to make a similar decision repeatedly.
To be lazy in the near future, one often has to be active in the present.
If you don’t want your blatter to wake you up in the middle of the night, go to the toilet shortly before you go to sleep. If you don’t want to pay a hefty bill at the dentist, brush your teeth regularly and floss. If you don’t want to get seriously injured in a car crash, wear your seatbelt. If you don’t want to squander your morning thinking about how to start your workday, plan and prepare your first task on the previous day.
You could, of course, try to change the human nature of wanting to conserve energy, of being lazy. Good luck with that battle.
